It is often referred to by its locals simply as the “Simala Shrine.”
There is a Roman Catholic pilgrimage site called The Simala Shrine which is believed to be miraculous by devotees of the Virgin Mary after it is attributed to the healing of those who were afflicted with dengue in 1998. According to devotees, the image of the Our Lady of Lindogon has been known to weep four times in addition to the shedding of tears reported in 1998.
